Bellevue Heights Primary is a dynamic and vibrant school in the foothills of Adelaide in South Australia, adjacent to FlindersUniversity and Flinders Medical Centre and Hospital.

Bellevue Heights is a Primary School offering Reception to Year 7 for students aged from 5 to 13 years. There are mainstream students and a separate Intensive English Language Centre (IELC) for students recently arrived in Australia. The Mainstream classes operate independently of the IELC but come together for shared whole school events and activities. Many of the IELC students choose to stay on in the mainstream after the completion of their time in the intensive English program.

We are a welcoming community of learners who pride ourselves in catering for the learning and social needs of all students. The school's multicultural nature enhances wellbeing and fosters global understanding and inquiry as students learn about caring for the world and its people.  The motto, 'Learning and growing together to enrich the world', is reflected in the school's values, curriculum and policies.

There is a strong focus on literacy and numeracy development with extensive early intervention support where identified. Early years classes use the Jolly Phonics and Grammar programs to establish sound literacy skills. We are implementing the Australian National Curriculum in Maths and Science and will further that implementation to English and History in 2013. Specialist subjects are Music, French and Art.  Students have the opportunity to learn musical instruments from Year 3 onwards.  Lessons are available in strings, keyboards and guitars.
