McAuley is a Catholic Primary school catering for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school was opened in 1967 under the patronage of the Sisters of Mercy. While McAuley has been administered by lay Principals since 1980, we maintain a close association with the Mercy Sisters as we are named after their founder, Catherine McAuley. We also maintain the motto ‘Seek the Truth’ which was introduced by the Mercy Sisters.

At McAuley we offer a curriculum that provides stimulating teaching and learning programs which aim to cater for the needs of each child and equip them to face the challenges of tomorrow. Our curriculum is child centred, emphasising skills in literacy and numeracy. We provide opportunities for inquiry learning, problem solving, group interaction and decision making.
